In 2008, Baxter launched the Science@Work: Expanding Minds with Real-World Science program, a multi-year commitment to Chicago Public Schools to support teacher training and student development in the health sciences. Over the course of the last eight school years, the program has reached more than 174,000 students and more than 2,000 teachers through 370 real-world experiences, in-depth teacher training and module lesson plans.
